WINTER CLASSES FOR ALL AGES       

For Youth

The Super Heroes -Ages 6-12 years

Cue the Bat Signal! An alarm breaks the peace of the quiet city as it sleeps and the most famous caped crusaders from classic comics descend on the scene, ready to jump into action…all at the same time. What happens when no-one wants to share the superhero spotlight? Could this be more dangerous than the enemy terrorizing the city? This entertaining, original comedy features all of your favorite super boys and super girls-from Spiderman to Wonder Woman and is your creative young actor’s chance to save the city in a great play and learn all about theatre from a pro.  A last class performance for family and friends is the perfect finale!

Sleeping Beauty-Ages 6-12 years

Dragons, spells, spinning wheels and more are all part of this fun musical theatre class which is our take on the classic. A last class performance complete with singing, dancing, costumes and props will dazzle your family and friends!

For Teens

Right Actors, Wrong Play-Ages 12-16 years

A talented troupe of young actors are invited to perform their hit play on Broadway. Will their dreams of superstardom in NYC disappear when they discover that there has been a mistake or will they pull the “wrong” play together the day before? Your teen actor will love being part of this original comedy, directed by a pro actor/director which gives them a chance to shine. Family and friends will be invited to the last class performance.

High School Musicals-Ages 12-16 years

Some of the best musical theatre plots happen in a high school. Join Josie Morrow in this fantastically fun class that incorporates all of your favourite songs in our own original high school musical. A last class performance for family and friends concludes the session.

For Adults

Improv! Soap Opera

Take the leap into improvisation with New Vintage Actors.  Be a part of a live improv soap opera all while learning tricks to keep you on your toes and ready for anything! A live performance with New Vintage actors will conclude the session.

Acting For The Screen

Tackle auditions with confidence, learn on set etiquette, build natural connections with on camera partners, and reveal character naturally with the coaching of an experienced actor/director who currently is on and directs a television and web series. Tips for marketing yourself and getting an agent as well! Session concludes with a taped on camera appearance in our original series As The Sun Burns.

Acting For The Stage

Study scenes and monologues that are tailored for your skill and interest level with other actors that are looking to practice the skills of effective and authentic performance. Tips on auditioning and networking to land roles are also a part of this exciting class which will connect you to the arts community. A cool coffeehouse concludes the session.

Musical Theatre

This thrilling class with a musical theatre master will get you motivated, inspired and understand how to respect and live a life of your role/roles. Includes scene study, voice, acting and body language, choreography and most importantly learning how to harvest presence onstage. An optional final recital at the end of the three sessions will present class favorite showstoppers!

1 hour/4 classes

Welcome To New Vintage Theatre Classes 

Welcome To New Vintage Theatre Classes

-Our focus is on a fun exploration of theatre and performing arts.  We employ innovative and enriching teaching techniques to build your child’s creativity, social skills, confidence and abilities as a performer.

-There are no hidden fees.

-There are no costume costs or costumes/props or supplies to buy.  If you purchase something on your own for a class or play that is fine, but it is never an expectation.  We loan our students what they need for our plays.

-Each student gets four free tickets to their final show. Additional tickets are $5-10 each.

-Our curriculum has been created and developed by a professional actor/ certified teacher.

-All instructors are New Vintage Theatre working actors with extensive training and teaching experience.

-You can get 10% off of your classes if you are a member. Memberships are $10 and last one full season (until September of the following year).

-You can save an additional 10% off for every additional family member you register.

- Pay by cash, cheque or email transfer. We do not accept post-dated cheques. NSF cheques will be charged and additional $50 as per our account fees.

-Due to the constraints of our space and our philosophy about teaching class sizes are small- so register early to avoid disappointment.
