Class – Acting for the Screen – Adults
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Monday, repeating until March 29, 2021
Learn all about acting for film and fine tune your skills in this on set class where you will create a short film starring you. Both beginners and experienced actors will enjoy working on a new original work with a professional actor/director and a cinematographer, both with extensive backgrounds on sets and behind the camera. An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Monday, repeating until March 15, 2021
Work on the iconic scenes that have challenged actors in meaningful ways and given them valuable insight into characterization and connection with scene partners. You should be writing! Finally get that screenplay or stage play written and workshopped with the help of a LMDA, Playwright’s Guild of Canada award winning instructor. The session concludes with your script being read publicly by our professional actors. Join the ninth year of this iconic play development program and get that script finished. Live Class/ Virtual Options This exciting class for teens will premiere a new work that plays homage to the music and storylines of the teen comedy classics “Clueless”, “Mean Girls”, “The Breakfast Club” and “Valley Girl”. Be part of a new play in this more in-depth class that will premiere with a full production with three shows on the Mary Irwin stage in May 2021. Saturdays, 3-5pm, January 16-May 29 Cost-$450
