New Vintage Theatre is hiring for jobs this spring-summer as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
Applicants need to be able to work full time (30-35 hours per week), are eligible to work in Canada and are in between the ages of 15-30.
Summer Camp Leader-July-August-35 hours/week; $19/hour
Responsible for help with the planning and teaching of our popular summer camps for children/teens. Applicants should have teaching experience as well as a clean police background check, first aid experience and enjoy working in an artistic, energetic environment and communicating with parents. A knowledge of COVID-safe protocols also required.
Festival Organizer-May-September-30 hours/week; $20/hour
Job duties include: working with Artistic Director on festival organization for our company. Will help coordinate schedules and volunteers, communicate with artists, set up/clean up venues, promote event and other productions as assigned. Previous festival experience required as well as excellent team work, written and verbal communication skills and customer service. Working to deadlines essential.
Festival Organizer Assistant-May-September-30 hours/week; $18/hour
Job Duties include :assistance in coordination of running of New Vintage Theatre festivals. Will help set up/clean up of venues, coordinating and communicating with volunteers, help with marketing and outreach at events and social media platforms.
Previous marketing experience and work on digital platforms necessary.
Theatre Technician-May-September-30 hours/week; $20/hour
Planning and execution of duties related to running of tech in theatre productions and festivals. Duties will include stage management as well as designing, coordinating and running simple lights and sound for productions/festivals. Some front of house duties may also be part of the job. Flexibility, great interpersonal skills, positive communication with artistic teams and public as well as past experience in the field is necessary. Ability to work to deadlines is essential.
